HI KIDS!
Seamore Sea Turtle here to tell you a little bit about myself. I was born on a beautiful sandy beach in St. Croix called Sandy Point beach. Do you know it? I moved to St. Thomas with my mommy and daddy when I was six years old. I have lots of brothers and sisters and tons of family all across the Virgin Islands! I visit my relatives on St. Croix and St. John all the time!
I am a green sea turtle. Green sea turtles are named for the green color of the fat under our shells, which is green because we love to eat green seaweed and algae. We vary in shades from plain to very dark green and plain to very bright yellow. Our shells have brown and green tones with stripes. When we are babies (or hatchlings), we are dark-brown or nearly black with a white underneath and white flipper outlines. Green Sea turtles live in bays and protected shores near the coastline and around islands in tropical waters throughout the world.
Did you know that Sea Turtles are an endangered species?
That means that there is a possibility that we may no longer exist in the near future! This is scary, so please if you ever come across a turtle or a nest of turtle eggs, don’t touch! Please protect my relatives and remind your friends and family to do the same!
I believe that kids should start saving from young because “saving is fun” and very rewarding. I really like the program and that great membership card you are given, don’t you?
I hope you enjoyed learning a little bit about who I am and remember, you can “see more” savings with FirstBank!
